Arrival and Dismissal Information

Arrival and Dismissal Procedures

Our main goal with arrival and dismissal are for students and families to have a safe, efficient method for beginning and ending their school day in a predictable, consistent manner. To accomplish this, we have three options for arrival and dismissal. Families may have different arrival and dismissal locations, but we do ask that families establish consistent locations for each. This allows for greatest partnership, timeliness, and safety.

Methods for Arrival and Dismissal

Early Arrival is 7:30-7:45 a.m. at the main office doors on 26th Ave. Students arriving before 7:45 a.m. will be sent to the gym to be supervised and play until going to class at 7:45 a.m.

The three methods for arrival & dismissal are:

Arrival After 8:00 a.m.

All students are to be in the building by 8:00 a.m. for school to begin promptly. Students arriving after 8:00 a.m. will need to go to the main office with the adult bringing them to school and be signed in. While we may have doors open 3-5 minutes past 8:00 a.m. often, that is to accommodate traffic flow and have students in class quickly. If arriving after 8:00 a.m., please be prepared to park and sign in. Students arriving after 8:00 a.m. will be given a pass in the main office before heading to class.

Dismissal Changes

All dismissal changes need to be communicated to and confirmed by the teacher before 2:30 p.m., preferably in writing. You may also call the main office at 615-298-8076. The main office is instructed to confirm identify before any dismissal changes. Dismissal changes include method of dismissal (car riders, walkers, bus riders, after care) and/or individual picking them up.

Authorized Adults for Dismissal

All individuals picking up students need to have their ID available upon request. The main office will check IDs and student permissions as needed.
