At Eakin, we welcome community and collaboration through school visitors. We are at our best when every teacher, child, and family have access to special opportunities, individuals, and resources to meet their need. As a community school, we open our doors to visitors and partners. On the same note, as an elementary school, we take very seriously our top priority is the safety and security of our students and teachers. As such, we have rigorous and clear expectations and procedures for visitors at Eakin.
Visitor Overview
All parents, visitors, and volunteers need to know the following:
- All visitors will be required to follow MNPS safety protocols while on campus. This includes sign-in procedures using Raptor and adhering to only traveling to the prescheduled, agreed upon spaces in the school.
- Principals are charged with ensuring that all visitors support student learning and instruction. Should visitors interrupt or interfere with student learning and instruction, the principal has discretion to limit and/or remove building access for individuals.
