Eakin Care Program (ECP) – 90 Seats
Eakin Care Program (ECP) is a parent board operated, non-profit before and aftercare program operating in the Eakin building. Enrollment is open to all Eakin students with enrollment spaces made available by grade level.
ECP typically has an extensive waitlist. Families interested in ECP are encouraged to add their students to the waitlist as early as possible. The waitlist is open to future Eakin Eagles, not just those currently enrolled.
Additionally, there is an option for enrollment for full days when MNPS is not in session as well as summer programming. Students are admitted based on the date of application to the waitlist and grade level availability. Priority enrollment is given to siblings and children of Eakin and ECP employees. ECP does not facilitate homework completion.
ECP is a place for students to relax, experience new activities, learn social interaction, and get involved in recreational physical movement. Students are encouraged to be self-directed in choosing activities. ECP has a dedicated space on the first floor below the gymnasium, and students also have time to use the gymnasium and playground each day.
